What this covers
Our civil crews build the parts of Dhaka people use before they ever enter a building: footpaths, pavements, railings and rain protection along corridors that stay open while we work. Work zones are planned around live traffic and pedestrians, and agreed with the engineer before the first barrier goes up.
The package that made our name is street level work on the MRT Line-6 corridor, delivered under Italian-Thai Development for DMTCL. Between Uttara and Agargaon we built 318 metres of railing and footpath beside moving traffic. The same discipline of approved materials, controlled zones and daily site records now runs through every civil package we price.
Street level work has a particular difficulty that building sites do not. The public is inside the work area, not outside it. Lane closures, pedestrian diversions and lifting windows are agreed in advance and adjusted by time of day, and each length is handed back in use before the next is opened up. That is what keeps a corridor moving while it is being rebuilt.
